What is the cost of Mini Facelift with local IV sedation in your practice? General idea of cost

Hi, I see lots of facelift info, but not a lot of Mini Facelift info. I’m seeking the mini lift for mid/lower face and neck. I saw one surgeon and he said I needed a mini facelift. I’m looking for someone local or non-local that does this with IV sedation (not general) and price range would really help. Thank you!

A lower face/neck lift makes such a dramatic improvement and is easy to undergo under local with a little iv sedation for roughly $12,000 for quality work and look so natural. It is worth traveling to get the results you want and get it done safely.

There is no clear definition of mini face lift and how different is it from full face lift. Based on presented problem, an experienced plastic surgeon would select the most appropriate procedure or set of procedures that fits patient needs. Depending of the time, complexity, expertise and reputation of the surgeon, geographic area,  cost will vary significantly. In our area price will vary from $5000-12,000 including anesthesia and facility fee. Good luck

Realself is a great resource for pricing questions  as if you look at the bottom after searching mini lift- you get average pricing ranges and this is pretty accurate as its based on consumer information. The other way is to contact doctors offices you are interested in and see if they can give you some ballpark ranges over the phone. I perform my facelifts/minilifts without general anesthesia, using oral medications and local anesthesia, so additional pricing can vary depending on the type of anesthesia being used.

Thanks for your question. The mini-facelift procedure was designed to give maximal improvement while being safe and comfortable enough to do even with just local anesthesia. We just use a small dose of oral medication taken 30 minutes prior, and our patients rarely complain of any pain. You do not need IV sedation. In our area, you'd be paying around $5500 all included. Hi,Mini-facelift and facelifts are almost synonymous. However, it depends on how bad you jowling and neck excess is... Mini-facelifts can also be done under local anasthesia with mild sedation ( oral or IV benzodiazepines) , it mostly depends on the amount of work that needs to be done and the desire of the patients awarness during the procedure. So price range can vary depending on amount of work and geographic location. In the Northeast, prices can vary from $9500 to $15,000 or more.Hope this helps.Best, Dr.S.

Hi, I have performed many facelifts for over 30 years and have performed many minimally, invasive SMAS facelifts.  Non smiling photos of your face from the front and side would help in the evaluation and in determining the appropriate costs.  
 The reality is that there are many different ways to perform a facelift, including ones that are called "mini lifts": from incision length, incision placement, level of tissue dissection (skin only, SMAS, Deep Plane, Subperiosteal), different degrees of tissue undermining, how to lift and support (imbrication versus plication of the SMAS layer), how much excess skin to trim, is excess fat going to be reduced and finally will the overall shape of the face be made more feminine or masculine (while avoiding the over pulled, windswept appearance).  Price is determined by the reputation, location and experience of the Facelift Surgeon. In my practice price is determined by the type and complexity of the facelift needed to make you more naturally attractive,
 If you have "jowls” these are sagging facial tissues and an indication for some form of a SMAS facelift.  The underlying SMAS layer, of the face, must be dissected, lifted, trimmed and re-sutured (not merely folded or suspended with threads or sutures that will not last).  The excess skin is then removed and the facelift incisions closed.
 My most popular SMAS facelift is the minimally invasive, short incision SMAS facelift that has all the benefits of more invasive facelifts (traditional, mid-face, deep plane, cheek lift and subperiosteal facelifts) but with these added benefits:
very small incisions and no incisions extend or are placed within the hair.
minimal tissue dissection = less bruising and swelling = rapid recovery ( several days instead of weeks or months with the more invasive type facelifts mentioned)
can be performed in 90 minutes or less, with or without general anesthesia
no incisions within the hair = no hair loss
excess fat can be removed from the face and neck
excess skin removed from the face and neck
cheeks, chin and jaw line can be augmented with dermal fillers (I prefer Restylane Lyft) or facial implants
most patients fly back home to parts all over the world in as little as 3 days post-op
 I combine facial shaping with every facelift procedure.  When jowls are present, these should be done in concert and not alone or separately in order to create a naturally, more attractive face. Following my beauty principles, women look the most feminine, youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces.  Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round in the front.  Cheek augmentation with a dermal filler or using cheek implants for a permanent enhancement will create full, round cheeks that will feminize the entire face.
 A weak chin creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy and the lower face look short that de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a double chin.  Chin augmentation using a chin implant will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face.  I have found placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick and highly effective.
