I really want to have it done.but need to know if that will prevent me from having it done.

There is never a reason to risk your life for cosmetic surgery. If you want to know if this is appropriate, ask your cardiologist if a 3 hour elective surgery with little blood loss is appropriate before discussing with a board certified plastic surgeon.

If you are currently experiencing congestive heart failure, you will not be a candidate for elective breast surgery.  On the other hand, if you have a history of congestive heart failure (but are currently doing well), you will need to be seen by your cardiologist for an evaluation prior to proceeding. Your cardiologist will be your best resource when it comes to determining whether or not you should entertain undergoing elective surgery.  Assuming, your cardiologist does give you "clearance" to proceed, please be careful to select your plastic surgeon, anesthesiologist, and surgery facility carefully.   In my practice, I would ask to see copies of all cardiac testing that had been performed. Best wishes.
