Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
The Clear and Brilliant laser is a fairly mild laser treatment that is great for young skin just starting to see signs of sun damage and fine lines or as maintenance after more aggressive laser treatments. It would not help neck laxity on its own. A more aggressive laser treatment such as the Fraxel DUAL combined with Thermage radio frequency skin tightening would be more beneficial.
Melasma needs a combination approach to get the best improvement and will need a series of treatments. In our practice, we combine Clear + Brilliant, pico, peels, microneedling/PRP, Aerolase, and sometimes Erbium (Cool Laser) to get the best results. See an expert for a formal evaluation. B...

You can have a microdermabrasion 13 days prior to a clear and brilliant. The usual protocol between any treatments is 2-4 weeks, though one day short will not be an issue with these two treatments, as long as there are no side effects that occur from your microdermabrasion.
