After transient thyroid illness I looked young but tired so 2 yrs ago i had fat grafts and a macs lift. 2nd opinions post-op state the scars are badly positioned, tissues are slack and damaged compared to pre-op, loss of jaw definition pixie ear and fat lumps. Surgical excision 12 months ago removed some fat but lumps close to surface remain. smas & scar revision advised but wont help the remaining fat which causes quilting in cheeks & deformities in eye area. Would lippodissolve offer any hope?
Answer: #ExcessFatTransferToFaceCorrection I would consider Ultherapy and or RF treatments to see if it can "Melt" some of the fat, if not then ThermiRF by an experienced physician.I would NOT recommend Lipodissolve. The lipodissolve procedure is not approved by the US FDA.The FDA is alerting consumers that:It has not evaluated or approved products for use in lipodissolveIt is not aware of evidence supporting the effectiveness of the substances used in lipodissolve for fat eliminationThe safety of these substances, when used alone or in combination, is unknownIt is not aware of clinical studies to support medical uses of lipodissolveIn addition, FDA has reports of unexpected side effects in people who’ve undergone the lipodissolve procedure. According to the FDA, Lipodissolve side effects include: permanent scarringskin deformationdeep, painful knots under the skin in areas where the lipodissolve treatments were injected#Kybella however is FDA approved for excess submental fat

Answer: Lipodissolve Facial Lumpiness and Irregularities Having undergone revision surgery you should understand that one type of treatment will not resolve all the irregularities that you have. Injection lipolysis, Fluorouracil and Steroid injections as well as micro-laser liposuction and fat grafting are options.Injectable fat dissolvers are good options for treatment of isolated fat pockets in certain areas. Deoxycholate (Kybella) has been FDA approved for dissolution of fat in the double chin. Studies have been published on the effectiveness and use of "Mesotherapy" injections on the abdomen and eyelids. These treatments Lipodissolve and Lipostabil have not been studied or approved to be safe by the FDA. Typically modest dissolution of fat is encountered with each session; five sessions are required to achieve significant results. Results may persist especially if body weight remains stable or decreases. Swelling, stinging and soreness begin to resolve after three days, typically they last for ten days. Treatment in these areas is considered off label use of these products and is up to the discretion of the provider and patient. Please use this information to better understand your options during an in person consultation with an experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.

Answer: Facial lumpiness lipodissolve may help. hard to predict the end result and your facial area could get significant swelling after the injection for 2-3 weeks. another option would be dilute steroid injections to help atrophy some of the unwanted fat. both of these would be difficult to control, particularly if you are already "quilted". could also also have liposuction with a very small cannula to help even the skin surface out.
