Thank you for your question. I specialize in advanced body sculpting techniques and I use the VASER lipo technique for fat collection. The fat collected with the VASER is alive and transferable to the buttocks, breasts, face, calves, deltoids or anywhere for desired volume enhancement. Laser lipo, i.e. Smartlipo is an energy device which does kill fat and it cannot be transferred. This is often confusing to patients who do not understand the difference between the VASER and laser (they sound alike). Unfortunately, even some surgeons are confused about it and state opinions instead of concrete clinical proof.
hello thank you for your question and provided information as well..A good combination but based on your question, the ideal thing is to have a consultation in person with a certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you and discuss your case in person to see if it applies to this procedure.because it is difficult to be able to orient you without a photo.
Hello Renewed11, I appreciate your questions! VASER Liposuction is indeed used effectively in combination with autologous fat transfer to the buttocks (Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) to achieve a beautifully contoured figure with flawless, well-toned skin. The fat cells harvested are viable with the VASER liposuction as long as the amplitude used by the surgeon is less than 50%. During VASER Liposuction, the surgeon selects the area to be treated and uses the ultrasound-assisted device to emulsify the fat cells, leaving the surrounding nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue unaffected. By only melting fat, the VASER leads to more rapid healing and smoother results. Since the VASER also creates thermal energy, this generated heat causes further fat to dissolve and causes significant skin contracture, as you have read before. Results from clinical studies presented by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) in 2009 demonstrated a 53% improvement in skin contraction relative to the standard liposuction procedures. It’s worth noting that thermal skin contracture is not attainable with traditional liposuction. These clinical studies have also shown significantly less blood loss with the use of the VASER. Specifically, an average reduction in blood loss of 26% compared with traditional liposuction methods. Altogether, these beneficial factors positively impact the procedure final outcome and recovery process. Hope this is helpful! Dr. De La Cruz.
Any energy device combined with liposuction for the purposes of fat transfer should not be done in my opinion. Vaser/ultrasound or laser (SLIM/SMART) devices will destroy fat cells before they are removed. The purpose of fat transfer is to transplant viable, not dead, fat cells to ensure long term viability and a lasting procedure.
Hello darling, thank you so much for your provided question and explanation about your surgery. It will be better for you that at this moment, you ask your surgeon about what can be done, but by this time it is too soon to determine final results, and about the lumps, if everything...
Hello mattysavanna2014, It’s a pleasure to answer your questions! In my experience, patients who successfully avoid putting pressure on their buttocks or stretching for at least 8 weeks after their surgery are much more likely to have long-lasting results than patients who fail to follow thi...
Hello dear!! Thank you for the question and provided information as well. You are still early in the healing process. At the stage you are in, itchiness is very normal. If you have any concerns, i suggest you follow up with your plastic surgeon. Good luck :)
