Do I need to shave all my hair off to get chin fillers?

Shaving the chin is preferred for two reasons: one, the injector can see any distinct asymmetries in the chin and can inject evenly, and two, the skin can be easily cleaned and sterile before injecting. Best, Dr. Anil Shah

A photo of you would be helpful to give you the best advice, but if the beard is very short and not affecting the evaluation of your chin, it is possible that you would not need to shave before injection of chin fillers.  If the beard is not allowing your chin to be seen, then you may need to shave before the treatment.  

Hi and thank you for your question! Obviously it will make it much more easier for your doctor to perform the injections if you shave your face and it can also help with more accurate documentation of the treatment results (with before and after pictures). This being said, it is still possible to do it without shaving the area and I have done it for some of my patients who were not willing to shave their face. I hope it helps and good luck!
