How can I get rid of a scar on my nose? (Photo)

Question

I had a septoplasty and when the surgeon was pulling the bandages off he left a cut/dent on the bridge on my nose. How can I fix this? I have tried scaraway silicone gel but it doesn’t seem to me working.

hate to hear what happened to you! First of all, scaraway is a great product. But it does take time. Usually 4-6 weeks before you see it start to go away. It has to do with the fact that silicone aids the body in remodeling scar tissue into mature scars - and so your body has to start that phase of healing before you are able to see any benefit. Other options involve laser, microneedling, and dermabrasion, along with a formal scar revision. Depending on how long ago the scar happened, you will be a candidate for one vs the other. I suggest you keep doing what you are doing presently with the silicone gel, and have a plastics or facialplastics doc eval you. Best of luck, and I hope some of this helps.
