Eat with invisalign: My doctor told me to eat with aligner on. but it is bad to eat with aligner on?

I had IPR a few days ago at four of my molar teeth, two teeth each side. And when i eat things after IPR, food will stay in between my teeth. And it's hard to get the food out of my teeth even with floss. My doctor told me to eat with aligner on. but it is bad to eat with aligner on?

Hello Jayce,It is important to remove your trays before each meal, brush and floss diligently and keep your aligners clean.  Aligners should never be worn while eating and you should only drink water while wearing them. Leaving your trays in at meal time could result in them breaking and/or staining, not to mention increased risk of tooth decay.  Good luck and I hope this helps. Hi there,Invisalign recommends at least 22 hours of wear per day. You should take the aligners out only to eat and drink. The only thing you should consume while wearing your aligners is water.good luck!
