How long does Invisalign company take to send you vivera retainers?

Question

I had traditional braces but instead of getting the Hawley retainers, I told my general dentist, who specializes in Invisalign, to order me the viveras. He took impressions of my teeth and told me he was going to ship them out the same day. It's been 2 weeks now and I still haven't gotten anything or a call from him.. Does any other Doctor know how soon you get the retainers?

Thank you for your inquiry.  The general time-frame for an office to receive retainers back does vary, but it takes an estimated 10-15 days for trays to be fabricated.  This does not account for shipping time for impressions to be shipped to the lab nor for the trays to be shipped back to the office.  However, some cases can be expedited but this would have to be requested directly by the office.  If you're not sure what's going on, call your dental office to ask for an update and they should be able to get you a more definitive time-frame and sometimes even provide you with a tracking number so you can help track them. Dear Kasebrot,Because your dentist does not have a laser scanner, it will take longer to receive your retainers. I would estimate 3-6 weeks. Best,Dr. Jenn
