Chin filler vs chin implant? (Photo)

Question

I have a weak chin but I also have a deep chin crease. I’m worried about chin implants bc I’ve heard that they make the crease worse?? Would filler be the better option? If so how much ml’s would I need

Surgical chin implants hold out the carrot of permanent results. However, the truth is that, besides the fact that they are relatively expensive, invasive surgeries that engender post-treatment downtime, the results of chin implants are NOT permanent, although the synthetic implant itself is. The age related changes that inevitable occur with the passage of time in the surrounding muscle and bone often necessitate the later addition of filler or surgical removal of the implant and replacement of the implant or simply the use of filler in order to maintain correction. From the photo provided, it would appear that the use of a robust HA filler would easily provide the necessary chin augmentation and readily fill the "mental crease."  In the hands of an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist, filler treatment should take no more than about ten minutes with immediate results. Hope this helps and best of luck.
