Some skin treatments have the side effect of irritated and dry skin. You can try to follow your treatment with a thick cream to keep your skin nice and moisturized. If that doesn't help, I would suggest trying a different treatment!

This device is like most everything else that concerns skin care. It is just what you have determined it is, hype. As far as I am aware, there is no really good scientific evidence supporting use of this device for skin care. Basic skin care is for things. One, a good cleanser. Two, a pH balancer to bring you skin back to its normal pH where it functions better after you have washed it. Three, and exfoliant to remove the thickened dead cells caused by time and sun exposure. Four, a good zinc oxide sunblock. There are other sunblocks, but they are all impractical since they need to be reapplied hourly if you are outside or every 2 hours indoors. If you are over 25-30, then you need to add to this a retinol or tretinoin (Retin-A) and Obagi's ELASTIderm to continue the body making collagen and elastic tissue, something it stops doing normally at about that age. There are improvements over the basics, such as using Vitamin-C Serum as the pH balancer, as this does other good things for your skin. However, most of the things that the various companies put in their products and out as antiaging are just not worth the extra money they cost. A good example is Vitamin-C it is put in a lot of products. Unless it is a very specific pH and blended a very specific way it does absolutely nothing for you like the Vitamin-C Serum does. Notice, also, I said nothing about moisturizers. These are, in fact, the worst thing you can do for your skin and are not a part of normal skin care. They are something that your grandmother discovered worked to make her skin feel better but, when we started looking at things scientifically, discovered how bad that actually were.
