Puffy Nostril Sill - Options? (photo)

Question

Some people have Mentioned to me that my nostrils look strange. The bottom part (I think it’s called the nostril sill) is puffy and bigger on one side of my nose. Is there something I can do to make this smoother or go away?

I can see your concern about your nasal base, since there is asymmetry and perhaps nostril retraction. Depending on your condition, a permanent non-surgical nose job may be considered for lowering your nostril margins so that your nasal sills are less visible. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

 After the nose surgery, the nose takes its shape completely and the edema decreases depending on the skin structure. 1 year is sufficient for thin and normal skin, while it may take 1 to 2 years for thick skin.

When a lip lift is performed, often times the incision is made through the sill into the nostril and back out the columella-lip junction.  This would minimize the puffy appearance.
