Hi Intelligent 383353, Renuvion is an advanced contouring technology that will make the results of regular liposuction even better. When placed under the skin, the radiofrequency energy is delivered to connective tissue via a stream of helium gas-the heat that is generated causes the maximum 30% contraction of collagen & elastin fibers-this brings the skin even closer to the underlying layers and avoids sagging that can occur sometimes when you do liposuction alone ( liposuction deflates by removing fat volume but doesn't treat stretched out skin). Renuvion takes a few extra minutes to perform but does not increase recovery, just your results. I wouldn't hesitate at all to maximize your results! Best wishes, Dr. Doolabh
No, you should have fairly good skin tone and I would suggest liposuction only of your abdomen and flanks. someday you may have children and later can have the tuck if needed. I do recommend trying to lose weight down to a healthier level.
Based on the nicely posted photos I would use aggressive liposuction with J-Plasma combination in your desired surgery. Fee from $6,000. Also use specialized total abdominal taping. Best to virtual consult with….
Adding Renuvion or Jay plasma will not create a noticeable difference, and is a waste of money. You are a fairly ideal candidate for Liposuction. If you have mild skill laxity, then you will still have mild skill laxity whether you add Renuvion or not. by far the most important variable is making sure you found a plastic surgeon who truly mastered body contouring. This is far more important than considering adding J plasma. I’ve used Renuvion for several years and personally sold my personal device a year after I purchased it because not a single patient nor did I notice any skin tightening. I made objective skin measurements and saw 0% skin tightening in every patient treated. The device simply does not deliver.I cannot emphasize enough the importance of provider selection when it comes to Liposuction.Delivering consistent quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize. The number of providers who have mastered this procedure is in a small minority.Being board-certified in plastic surgery, with years of experience, does not mean that somebody has mastered Liposuction, or is even good at or even likes doing it. to find the right provider I suggest patients have multiple in person consultations before selecting a provider. There’s no correct number of consultations needed. Some of it is simply luck.Considering how much variation there is in Liposuction skill among plastic surgeons, I suggest starting the process by having at least five consultations. The biggest mistake patients make is having only one consultation which completely eliminates the ability to choose the better provider. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients, who had similar body characteristics to your own.Similar age, similar amounts of body, fat, no previous pregnancies, etc. An experience provider should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients.Being shown a handful of pre-selected images, representing only the best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider, what your results are likely to look like or how many of these procedures they’ve actually done. Highly experienced providers will in fact have access to hundreds or preferably thousands of before and after pictures for commonly performed procedures. In my portfolio of abdominal liposuction, I have thousands of before and after pictures I can choose from and almost always find many examples of patients who look almost exactly like people I have in for consultation. Bring pictures of your body to use as reference when reviewing before and after pictures.Another important concept is to have a very clear understanding of exactly what areas are going to be included with the procedure. You should ask the doctor specifically if they’re going to turn you during the procedure and exactly what positions you’ll be in while they’re doing surgery. This is very important to understand Especially if general anesthesia is used. Some plastic surgeons will not turn you during surgery and this will inherently limit how well they can contour your love, handles, hips, waste and back.I generally view the torso as a single an atomic unit and generally prefer to treat the entire torso when treating the abdomen with liposuction. By treating the entire torso as a single anatomic unit patients are not left with unnatural transition zones between treated and untreated areas. The most common untreated area is the armpit and back. They should also be treated with Liposuction in order to have a consistent even thin, fat distribution. The concept of treating the torso as a single anatomic unit becomes more important on patients who are a bit chubby. Liposuction results have more variation and outcome based on who patients choose as a provider than any other plastic surgery operation I’ve ever seen.Patient should recognize the liposuction results are permanent, irreversible, and can potentially leave you disfigured if done poorly.do not ever assume That somebody is talented, simply because they have certifications or talk the talk.Talented providers with experience will always have an endless supply of before, and after pictures to look at it. There is simply no excuse for not having a catalog of before, and after pictures that you could spend hours looking through. When, in doubt, slow down and schedule more consultations. In the hands of the right provider, you will have an exceptional outcome. They only single variable they could get in the way is failure of provider selection.I would say stay away from those who are peddling, Jay plasma, a.k.a. Renuvion, though there are talented people who bought the device in hopes that it would help their patience get better outcomes.I was one of those but once I recognized the device, failed deliver, as a patient advocate I stopped encouraging people to use it because it did not represent a benefit and certainly did not represent value.Best,Mats Hagstrom, MD
I don't think you need J plasma for your abdomen, but it will not interfere with pregnancy. After pregnancy, you might need a tummy tuck to remove excess skin and tighten your abdomen. However, not all women do, especially if they are careful with weight gain during pregnancy.
Renuvion is more modern equipment that has two forms of heat--radiofrequency and J plasma from helium. Thermage just has radiofrequency. Renuvion does a better job of tightening, but both are helpful.
It's great to hear you're happy with your lipo 360 results. To address the loose skin, Renuvion could be a suitable option for skin tightening without undergoing a tummy tuck. However, since you've previously had liposuction, there may be scar tissue in the area, which can complicate further...
