Uneven, splotchy teeth color after Zoom whitening

Question

I had Zoom whitening done at my dentist's office two days ago, and my teeth immediately were splotchy. The tech told me that this would go away in a few days, but I see no difference so far. Would more Zoom/whitening help, or is there a different method to even out the color? I was not given at-home trays, as the dentist was hoping to put veneers on two of my teeth and didn't want to fit the trays prior to putting on the veneers.

Because it has only been two days, I would wait, as it is certainly not uncommon to have white spots. Your should begin to even out a few days after the Zoom!® in office whitening procedure. If you are still not completely satisfied with the results, wait a week or two more before you contact your dentist. Porcelain veneers are the best option if you still have white spots on your teeth. However, keep in mind that porcelain veneers are permanent as some of your natural tooth needs to be removed to make way for the porcelain veneers. Best of luck!

Unfortunately no form of whitening is going to create a more uniform color. The only way to do this is with veneers. Whitening will make the color brighter but the unevenness will no go away.

unevenness is not uncommon and will blend in after a few days when the teeth rehydrated again and the white spots will become less noticeable. If you're not 100% satisfied with the color yet, it's best to wait a little longer to ensure the final shade of your teeth is what you're looking for prior to committing to veneers.
