Question

Is it safe to use Tretinoin 0.05 gel after PicoSure Focus Laser treatment? I had the first one done 2 days ago and signed up for two more treatments 4-5 weeks apart. Thank you!

Its important to ask your doctor about this.  I usually avoid Tretinoin or retinols during the treatment with Picosure.  Hydroquinone however is safe to use but ask your doctor.

Hi!  I advise my patients to avoid all retin-a, tretinoin, renova, etc. (basically all vit A derivatives being called different things) for a week BEFORE the Pico and a week AFTER the PicoSure laser treatment.
However, you should discuss this question with the provider who's performing your PicoSure treatments.

Titrate the dose accordingly. Your Dermatologist will guide you as to when to restart the gel. If I am performing off label Pico treatments, I tell my patients not to use potential irritants, including Tretinoin for 2-4 days, depending on the treatment parameters. Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane.
