Will I see difference after 1st PicoSure treatment? I have Nevus of Ota in and around my left eye. (Photo)

Question

I had my first treatment of PicoSure 5 days ago. The swelling is almost completely gone and there is just light bruising around the outer edge. However , I see no difference in the pigment color. I know it would take a few sessions to go away completely but should I expect ANY improvement after the first session?

You might want to revisit treatment expectations with your doctor. Lower eyelids can be treated to the extent that the skin can be pulled over maxillary bone. Because your lesion extends to the lid margin, that portion may not be well treated. If you already know that, it does take more than one session and you may need adjustments in your power settings on the next session. I always start on a lower setting on the first session. Also if it’s only been 5 days, it’s normal for areas to turn darker immediately and may take some time to lighten.
