I have read that the teeth support the facial muscles, stimulate the jaw, etc..and have also read that even wisdom teeth extraction changes the mandibular angle, therefore the jaw recedes and narrows slightly..I am despondent over this and will forever regret not educating myself prior to surgery. I am now wondering if dental implants can regenerate the lost bone/provide lost facial support/structure? Also I am wondering if I missed out on the residual jaw growth that would have happened had I kept them.
