Thanks for your question. PicoSure is manufactured by CynoSure. Cutera makes Enlighten, which is a picosecond laser. For PIH, we would use the FOCUS or Flat lenses with PicoSure. I think Enlighten calls their facial treatment Genesis. We have only used the PicoSure and have NEVER experienced any complications with the FOCUS or Flat lens treatments. It is excellent for treating brown pigment including PIH and Melasma. I have several posts on this website with complications from Genesis treatments. Most laser complications are caused by the provider and improper settings. It's probably not the laser.I don't know the technology differences between FOCUS & Genesis. I know the FOCUS is safe for all skin types and it is extremely safe. Look for a physicians in your area that treat PIH. Make sure they have more than 1 treatment option and excellent reviews.
