Minimize facial movement after fat transfer for how long?

Question

I had fat transfer 3 weeks ago. After the procedure I been speaking like a ventriloquist as I heard it helps with fat take (my surgeon did not suggest me to do this it was my own idea) Can I finally relax now and talk normally and start smiling at people?

Dear lululusan,fat viability depends a lot of surgeon technique. The fat has to be placed back as soon as possible so that it has a greater chance of survival.
 It has to be placed carefully so that not too much fat is placed in only one area. I would suggest you to follow your surgeon's instructions.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS
