How long do PRP injections last before you see the effects disappear?

Think of PRP s a regenerative treatment rather than a filler. The growth factors in the PRP helps to regenerate collagen and healthy tissue and blood flow. The dark circles will lessen over time as the skin improves. There may be some volume improvement as well. For best results you will need to do multiple treatments and then maintenance treatments. I recommend doing three treatments a month apart then do one every 6 months of maintain.

PRP doesn't help the under eyes when injected. its better to use fillers, lasers and skincare.

There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will such as lower eyelid blepharoplasty with or without fat pad repositioning will be the best long term. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery. Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers, lasers, microneedling/PRP, cosmelan peels, and microneedling RF like Fractora or morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. Thank you for your question. Injecting PRP into the under eyes is not meant to give you an immediate result. It was likely swelling that you noticed on your friend and why it looked "good". When injecting PRP the point is to stimulate collagen growth which takes months to see. As you continue to age you will slowly continue to lose collagen so the results will not last. People tend to do a maintenance treatment in order to maintain the results every year. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question. PRP can be an excellent choice for the under eye area without the risks associated with using filler. Results, however, are not immediate. The initial improvement in appearance that lasted for a week was probably from some swelling which occurs after PRP injection which usually subsides after a few days. PRP injections can help reduce dark circles, skin laxity, fine lines, and also with help with some volume loss. Usually at least three injections done about a month apart are needed to see noticeable improvement after which time injections every 6-12 months apart are needed to maintain results.
