I am 7 weeks post opp and this week I noticed this. It slightly hurts and when I bend over I feel a tightening and the bulge is more noticeable. Up until now my butt was perfect not its hard and square at the top. What could this be
Answer: BBL results Dear princess1101, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a BBL surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery. Answer: I’m 7 weeks post opp. Is this fat necrosis or possibly still swollen? (photo) Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. It does not look like you have necrosis. You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation is normal. If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon. Good luck :)

Answer: Concerns 7 Weeks Post-Op At 7 weeks post-op, your results are not yet final. You could still have swelling up to 3-6 months following your surgery. I would take your concerns about this problem area directly to the surgeon who performed your operation. If, after 6 months has passed and you're still not entirely satisfied with your results, you could benefit from a BBL revision procedure. If you turn out to be a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) revision, the optimal outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or Facetime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD,FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: Early BBL results in seven weeks your results are slowly approaching final but there will be changes over the next few months. Most likely this represents how the procedure was performed. You should follow up with your provider and discuss results at three months or so after the procedure. No intervention should be done at this time. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
