I've had a fibroadenoma removed in each breast leaving my nipples shaped different. What are my chances of reconstruction?

It's difficult to say specifically for you without some pictures or an examination, however it is certainly true that surgery for fibroadenomas may change the shape of your breast, nipple or areola.  Scars may be revised to try to improve your concerns and possibly with lift or augmentation.I suggest for best advice you consult with a plastic surgeon with experience in reconstructive breast surgery.Kind regards,Dean

Having fibroadenomas removed from bilateral breast and a younger can leave significant deformity as you're stating. However without having pictures is difficult to assess what reconstructive procedures would benefit U mass.  There are multiple surgical options consisting of nipple areolar reconstruction versus fat grafting etc. But rest assured some irritation to certainly get significant reconstructive benefits

When fibroadenomas are removed, depending on the size, a breast deformity can result from the surgery.  Problems with breast symmetry is the most common issue, but nipple malposition can also happen.   Would recommend having a consult with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area for evaluation and management recommendations.
