Hump shave and septoplasty candidate, advice? (photos)

A septoplasty is performed for A deviated septum in the back of the nose to improve airflow. Spreader grafts are placed for patients who have valve collapse. The cartilage is harvested from inside the back of the nose for this procedure. The dorsal hump is composed of both bone and cartilage which must be shaved down in order to remove it. Osteotomies placed in the nasal bones will be required to straighten them and close the open roof created from the hump removal.  For more information, our current price list and many before-and-after examples, please see the link and of the video below

Dear Janedoe, Your nose can be improved both functionally and aesthetically at the same time.The insurance company will pay for the functional portion of your procedure and the work that needs to be done to repair the fracture. A hump removal at the same time is a common procedure and will be billed separately. The price will depend upon your surgeon. See some surgeons for consultation and review the before and after photographs and then you can make an informed decision.  See examples in my septorhinoplasty link below and a patient with a similar history in the video below.
