But ıf you stop to use minox after a long time usage, you may experience a fast thinning, even loss of hair because of ending action of active ingredient. It's really important for all men who start finasteride and minoxidil for balding that these treatments are lifelong (meaning forever). They should not be stopped if one wishes to maintain the effect. These drugs are intended for lifelong use.

What you have it, it is completely normal. It sounds that the medical treatment is working in your case but you NEED to continue the treatment for long, long period of time. There is not Magical Treatment that one treatment, or few months treatment will resolve the case (stable hair loss and regrowth). So, my suggestion: if the medications are working in your case and no side effects, I will suggest to continue with them and see your hair doctor once a year.

These medications produce dependency when used and when stopped all of the benefits will be lost.

It important to understand all hair loss therapies are management for hair loss, and not short term cures.  If you had regrowth from starting these therapies, you will have loss after stopping.  It would be advised to continue therapy if it helped.  Good luck!
