Is a bone graft and implant necessary after extracting tooth #15?

My tooth #15 broke off at my gumline on Christmas Eve (go figure). I am aware I now need to have it extracted. The tooth had a root canal and a porcelain fused to metal crown. After extracting, is it necessary I do a bone graft and an implant and that space? See attached, current panoramic x-ray… It is my last molar on my upper left, as I had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted years ago.
