I am getting my BBL in September and my partner might not be able to come last minute. I am already tight on my budget so I would prefer to not hire a nurse. I have a pretty high pain tolerance and I am low maintenance. If he cannot come, is it crazy to not hire a nurse?
Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift A good candidate has enough fat available for transfer in the procedure. The amount of fat that can be transferred in a BBL depends on how much fat the patient has to harvest and the amount of space there is to move the fat into. It is recommended for the patient to have a BMI of 30 or less. If you are too thin, a Brazilian Butt Lift may not be possible.

Answer: BBL Recovery Hello, To answer your question, it is best to have someone care for you. A few hours after surgery, you should be able to move around enough to take care of yourself. Here is where the issue is... You will more than likely be taking narcotic pain relievers. You really should have someone there in case you have any adverse reactions and to help monitor your intake. When under the influence of pain relievers you may not be able to keep track of the last time your narcotic medication was taken, possibly resulting in an overdose. No matter how perfectly a procedure is performed there can sometimes be unforeseen complications, it's best to have someone to help you. Our practice and many others wont even release a patient without someone signing release documents stating that they will have a caretaker for the 24hrs following procedure. Always choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to do your procedure. Once you have chosen the surgeon, check with their office to make sure you will not have to have a caretaker sign you out and what their requirements are. Hope this helps. Best Wishes, Dr. Lane Smith Las Vegas, NV

I do not think you need a nurse at all, if you are staying with family, firends or in a Recovery House you will do fine.International Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) Dominican Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS)
