How to safely stop taking Finasteride (1mg) for hair loss?

There is no requirement for you to taper your dose of finasteride if it is being used for hair loss. You can stop using your finasteride suddenly but please be mindful that this may mean you revert back to having hair loss. 

One can generally stop finasteride suddenly without the need for tapering. If it was not helping, you’ll not notice any effects on the hair from stopping. If it was actually helping, you’ll get hair loss once you stop. 

There is no weaning off of finasteride, other than slow down the rate of hair loss from dependent hairs that were kept on your head because of the drug
