Will any benefits of hair growth be reversed upon stopping Neutriderm hair enhancer lotion? Can it cause facial hair growth?

28F, AGA, PCOS. Some benefit with topical Neutriderm lotion but will stopping it reverse back to shed and miniaturisation? What is its mechanism of action? Can the lotion lead to facial hair growth upon accidental contact?

From my research, it appears that neutraderm lotion is a DHT blocker and does not contain minoxidil. If you are getting some benefit,  discontinuation may cause hair loss. It should not cause facial hair growth  I would recommend starting spironolactone if you have PCOS to treat hair loss and possibly regrow hair. We have also found that adding PRP to the program has been helpful with PCOS. Find a hair loss expert.

A hair expert can sit down with you are listen to your story and examine your scalp to determine if the said product is truly helping or not. Any product for treating AGA that truly helps is lifelong - and sp yes, hair loss will occur if stopped. In the setting of PCOS and AGA, many women have hair growth on the face from the PCOS not the product itself. I would recommend seeing an expert for guidance on effective evidence based treatments for AGA and PCOS.
