Undo or loosen too-tight tummy tuck?

Question

I had TT 12 yrs ago, too tight from beginning, is now causing dilation of small intestine, plus 12 yrs discomfort, affecting quality of life for 12 yrs. I want it undone, or loosened and permanent stitches OUT. I so regret having this done.

That is very interesting question that you are posting! There is no doubt that old sutures, even permanent one, do not hold your abdominal tissue or give any significant support. Excessive scarring, deep scar attachment to muscles of the abdominal wall may be part of it? Only on the basis of in person evaluation a board certified plastic surgeon would be able to find some reason for your very unusual  condition. Good luck.

You now have scarring around your muscles. if this is cut, you may need mesh as to repair a hernia, and this will cause more scarring. It can be done, but you still may have difficulties.
