Congratulations on a successful surgery!Based upon your photos, you appear to be proceeding normally. There does not seem to be an cause for concern.I encourage patients to reserve any judgements in the early post-operative period. The implants will settle as the soft tissue stretches. Swelling and bruising will resolve. These early changes have already begun and will continue for the next several weeks. You will not reach a final result until about 4-6 months. With regards to your specific question, it is too early to make any size judgements. I usually discourage patients from purchasing new bras until at least 6 weeks post op to allow for the vast majority of the swelling to subside. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).
Congratulations on you surgery and great results thus far. Unfortunately bra size is so variable from one manufacturer to another with no real standardization across the board that's it's very difficult to say what cup size you'll be after surgery. A rough rule of thumb though is that each cup size equals roughly 150cc, so you may expect the increase your pre-op cup size roughly by 3 sizes. Regardless, you'll have large breast at lest in the D cup range
This can be a challenging question to answer. The enhancement in bra size is not a straight forward calculation unfortunately. Every bra company fits there bras and corresponding bra sizes a bit differently. So, most people end up fitting into a range of bra sizes across companies. People also choose to have their band length fit tighter just as a preference and the cup size may have to go up in order to accommodate your breasts with a tighter fitting bra. Your starting volume (native breast size) and breast width also matter here as smaller breasts will see a bigger leap in bra sizes than a larger breast. In general, most patients will see well over one cup enhancement with 465cc. Some patients may easily see 2 cup sizes (or more) with that implant size if their starting breast size was small.
Thanks for your question. Since you are so early in the recovery process, it's too early to tell. Based on the very large implants you have and very round nature of saline, you will have to search for a bra that fits you the best. You will obviously be a very large size, but whether it is D, DD or whatever the letter says, it will be a personal preference. Best of Luck!
Thank you for your question. Bra size varies from different manufacturers and is not standard. It will be difficult to tell cup size with volume. Please give about 3 months and re assess.
There is not a direct correlation between breast implant size and cup size as the cup size varies greatly among companies and even within the same company. Moreover, cup size can vary based on who is performing the measurement. The size of the implants is based on a combination of a patient's goals and objectives and her anatomy. In order to provide a natural looking augmentation, the surgeon needs to evaluate many factors including soft tissue coverage, skin laxity, chest wall width, breast imprint width, the shape of the breasts and relative level of constriction to ensure that the breast implants are appropriate for your body.
It is very difficult without assessing you in person to know what implant size will be a good size for you. Keep in mind that implant size selection not only depends on your personal preference, but it also depends on your unique measurements. There are various types of implants that can help...
If you use inhalers, it is always a good idea to bring them with you on your surgery day. Present them to the anesthesiologist, and they may have you administer a dose just prior to going in for surgery. We also want them available in case you need them while in recovery.
