It is too early for peeling at day 3. Usually TCA peels turn dark during day 2-5 and on day 6-8 they start to peel on the face. The darkness is the dead skin getting ready to peel off so everything looks normal so far.
you shoud NEVER do at home TCA. I responded to you the other day that you needed at home skincare asap or you will scar and get hyperpigmentation (see link). you also applied TCA inappropriately in large areas which you shoud not do. your scars will be worse and right now if you do not do the proper skincare, LED, and in 2-3 weeks an enlighten or cosmelan peel you will have permanent damage. Please see an expert and never do this again to yourself. Best, Dr. Emer.
The first thing you need to do is throw the "TCA" (or whatever it is really) out and never attempt this again. Peels are for experts. I cannot tell you how many problems I have seen over the years from peels done by supposed experienced and knowledgable physicians. The second thing is just wait. The grey/brown spots are where the "TCA" actually got to the deeper layers and is what you should expect everywhere after a deep peel. The skin will heal under these and they will fall off leaving a smooth red area. Meanwhile, simply wash and dry them gently by patting rather than rubbing. If they become irritated or begin to weep, wash them and apply an antibiotic ointment like Polysporin, Neosporin, bacitracin, or triple or double antibiotic ointment 4 times a day. After you have healed, see an experienced plastic surgeon or dermatologist.
I wish to join the chorus. NO ONE should EVER do a TCA peel at home. There are 2 reasons for this. First, even experts have occasional problems with these peels. I have seen major problems with them done by experts. To even try one without the significant training and years of experience mak...
TCA peels must be performed by practitioners familiar with all aspects of the treatment (pre, post, complications). I highly recommend that you not attempt to perform this treatment on yourself. 20% TCA has inherent risks even with skin types I and II. There are several pre-op medications to take...
Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. Fortunately, you will not lose any of the positive results you have gained so far by delaying your next treatment. During this time, the cells are producing more collagen and you will see some results from the first two treatments. Then...
