Being on an antibiotic can be beneficial in such cases. Another option to explore is scar revision surgery. In many cases, scars improve over time and can be further enhanced with the use of scar gels like Skinuva or laser treatments.

ABSOLUTELY you need to discuss this with your surgeon! That should not be happening. I can't tell if it's reopening because you have irritation there/granulation tissue that could be treated with some silver nitrate. The large scarring I can't tell if that is due to hypertrophic scarring that could respond to steroid injections and/or there was just too much tension on the closure. This is definitely something you ought to seek help in person about.
