How to keep the fat in my butt after BBL?

Question

Hey, It’s been two weeks now that I have done my breast and my butt. My doctor suggested to sleep and sit on a doughnut shaped pillow which i’ve been doing. I am so worried to loose the fat. I have also endured a lipo on ly stomach and thights angld back. If I gain weight would it increase the fat in my butt or just mess up the lipo work. Thanks

About 60% of fat from the transfer is retained and the results are permanent. The size will change with your weight just as the rest of your body does. In other words, the fat acts like it was naturally there. You can get a good idea of the final result after 6 months.

I instruct my patients not to sit for 2 solid weeks. We provide them a specialized pillow that our patients can sit on during that time. They can sleep on their stomachs or sides. Fat viability depends a lot of surgeon technique. The fat has to be placed back into the buttocks as soon as possible so that it has a greater chance of survival. It has to be placed carefully so that not too much fat is placed in only one area.

Hello dear!!
Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
After liposuction, the areas treated are not likely to regain fatty fullness, as many fat cells have been removed. These areas have reduced fat storage capacity.
However, if weight gain occurs, the fat will be stored in areas that have not been liposuctioned. This is why you should try to eat healthy and exercise on a regular basis, so you can maintain the results long term.

at this point any grafted fat that does not have a new blood supply is dead and it's in the process of being absorbed. It's too late to increase the fat survival percentage. Follow your doctor's recommendations. Best, Mats Hagstrom M.D.
