Is it possible that my shoulder impingement has been caused by a bra strap? I'll be fine and then wake one morning with severe pain in my shoulder. This has happened more than once. How do I broach the topic of breast reduction to my family doctor with the shoulder pain as the catalyst?

Answer: Shoulder pain is commonly caused by and large breasts.
I think you would do fine with a standard breast reduction technique that leaves the nipple and areola on the breast the whole time--no free nipple graft. Be sure to see a plastic surgeon who does a lot of large breast reductions. Best wishes!
