Front tooth broken in half due to trauma. What are my options? Will I still be able to continue my Invisalign treatment?

If your tooth does not require root canal treatment, the best option while you are still involved in Invisalign treatment would be to have your tooth restored to it original size and shape with a composite resin or like material.  In this way, the dentist can restore your tooth so that your Invisalign trays still fit properly.  To do this properly will take a skilled cosmetic dentist.  A new, recent system for correcting defects in teeth that detract from your smile is called EasySmile.  With this system, your tooth can easily be rebuilt to the correct size and shape in a quick and easy 1 visit appointment.  For information on this system, you can google EasySmile or it's founder, Dr. Harvey Silverman, a cosmetic dentist from the Cleveland area.  If your dentist does not offer this procedure yet, he can contact Dr. Silverman, who offers training via webinars or alternatively a visit to your doctor's office to train the entire staff on the procedure.  

If the temporary filling has fallen out, there may not have been enough retention for the filling. From your photo, it looks like a substantial part of the tooth broke. I would suggest making an appointment for consultation with a dentist or endodontist where their can evaluate the tooth vitality. If a root canal is indicated, you should wait at least 3 months after the root canal is completed and return to your dentist or endodontist for re-eval to ensure that the tooth is asymptomatic prior to resuming Invisalign treatment.
