I love my new look! However, it doesn't move much at all when walking or jogging.I know it's only been 2 months, when I massage 'em the implants feel quite nice under the muscles, but when laying down..it is solid.I'm worried the firmness won't subside much permanently,as I'm skinny on my upper body & I used to be a small A now to a very full C. Can the skin stretch 'alot' more perhaps a year from now, or only a little? Bcus as much as I love the perky look, laying down looks quite bad. Thank you
Answer: Breasts still hard 2 mos postop Thanks for your question. If your surgery was only two months ago, the breasts may continue to soften considerably. It can take 6 months or longer for the final shape to be apparent. I recommend my patients book an assessment at least 6 months after surgery to ensure that they are progressing normally.

Answer: Breast Implant Feeling It is normal for your breasts to feel a little firm for up to 6 months after augmentation. Massaging can help soften the feel. You are still pretty early in your postoperative course and I would recommend giving yourself some more time. If you have concerns you should see your plastic surgeon for an examination. #PlasticSurgery #BreastAug #BreastImplants #Implants #recovery

Answer: Breasts feel very hard when laying down. I appreciate your question. It will take 3-6 months for you to feel comfortable having implants in your body and for them to settle. This time allows for you to physically and psychologically adapt to your new body image. Rest, relax, recover and heal. Express your concerns to your surgeon and reassess at 6 months. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery. Best of luck! Dr. Schwartz

Answer: Being patient after breast augmentation Hi, Thanks for posting your question. I am happy to try and help you. I am sorry to learn of your concerns. It is important to remember that a board certified plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to an accurate assessment of your situation, and concerns. Having said that, it is way too early to make any decisions about how your breast will look. It takes weeks to months to see what is happening. Also the PS technique will also influence how quickly they settle, as well as the size of implants, your natural tissue quality and characteristics. As they settle, your breast mounds will dramatically change. I typically and as a routine, ask my patients to wait at least 3-6 months before evaluating the end results of the breast augmentation or secondary breast surgery. This waiting time allows patients to physically and psychologically adjust to their new body image. Best wishes, Dr. Michael J. Brown Northern Virginia Plastic Surgeon
