What's the cost of an uncovering? I got the post implanted over 6 years ago. I'm not yet able to afford the crown. I just want to know the price for an uncovering ONLY. I will be paying for this part by myself and then another person will pay for the crown in a few weeks.

Hi,
Typically an uncovering is completed by the surgeon/dentist who placed the implant (post). In my practice, the fee is included in the cost of the implant surgery procedure. You may want to return to the office that placed it and inquire.
If gum tissue "training" will be involved (for example, a tooth in the front that is seen when smiling) then there typically will be a fee for the fabrication of an interim tooth or custom designed healing abutment.
