I play a contact sport and wish to remove my aligners during matches so I can wear a conventional mouthguard. I am concerned about knocking off the attachments. I had considered cutting the back of the mouthguard so that the buttons don't get knocked off. However given that one of my attachments has broken off as I removed my aligner today, I am concerned that even a fairly loosely moulded gumshield may cause the attachments to break off.
