HI, I'm a 27 year old male diagnosed with androgenic alopecia aka male pattern baldness. I've been using minoxidil 5% twice daily for the past 17 days and have shed a large number of hair. I'm in the very initial stages of balding. I want to quit using minoxidil and switch to biotin/saw palmetto. Is it safe to discontinue using minoxidil after using it for over 2 weeks or would it accelerate my MPB after quitting? How long does it take for hair to get minoxidil dependent?
