Are the results similar between CoolAdvantage (35 min) vs the old Coolsculpting applicators (1hr)?

Question

I heard that there is now a new applicator for Coolsculpting that provides better comfort, causes less bruising, and can be done in 30-35 min. I also heard with the new machines that there is less vacuum suction. I wanted to know if the results from the CoolAdvantage is just as good as the old Coolsculpt machines? It just seems that it would be better to have a lot of suction and a longer time inside the machine, no?

With the new CoolAdvantage applicators the treatment time is 35 mins instead of 60 mins. The shorter duration is possible because the temperature is 1 degree celsius less than the current applicators. The entire applicator provides cooling, instead of only the side panels. This allows more surface area to be cooled and less suction to be applied, making the treatment more comfortable. In the clinical studies done before the applicator's release the results of both applicators were comparable. Hope this helps answer your question.

When you use CoolAdvantage you will experience greater comfort due to the newly enhanced and contoured applicator design and require less time for treatment (35 minutes per treated area) as opposed to CoolSculpting, which takes one hour per treated area. The reason a shorter duration is possible with CoolAdvantage is due to the temperature of the applicator being one degree celsius cooler which cuts treatment time in half. The benefits from using CoolAdvantage include, shorter treatment time and less vacuum skin tension, which helps minimize bruising and enhance comfort. The results using both applicators are nearly identical with overall design, function, time and comfort being the main difference. Please see additional information in my video below.

Not only does the
CoolAdvantage applicator treat a larger surface area in nearly half
the time that CoolSculpting did, increasing comfort level by about
45%, comparative studies have shown the result are equivalent. Both
CoolSculpting and CoolAdvantage use a patented technique called
cryolipolysis to disrupt and destroy fat cells by lowering their
temperature enough to cause apoptosis (slow cell death). It takes
about two weeks for the cells to completely destruct and then up to
three to six months for the body to completely eliminate all of the
detritus. At that time, your final results will be visible. With that
said, I believe in some instances, like the upper abdomen
CoolAdvantage, usually fits better and treats more fat. At other
times when the skin is loose and a big roll of fat can be picked up
off the skin, from my clinical experience, I think the original
applicators work best with the suction turned up high.

very popular procedure because the results are phenomenal if you go
to a center with very experienced physicians and dedicated, skilled
staff. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist with a special

In addition to the shorter treatment time, the applicator allows for the treatment of a larger surface area because of the new design.  Additionally, the larger surface area allows for less discomfort and less risk of bruising following treatment.  So, while the ultimate result of fat reduction is the same, we can essentially treat more tissue in less time.

The CoolAdvantage applicator treatment times range between 35 minutes and 45 minutes depending on the size of the applicator used.  These applicators are able to cover a larger surface area of fatty fullness comparted to the old applicators. They do cool down 1 degree colder and also provide less discomfort from the suction during and subsequently after treatments.  There have been multiple reports of less bruising, swelling and redness post treatment.
