Would a lefort 1 impaction of 3mm make a face look shorter?

I just want to know in your experience, does 3mm make a difference in facial length? I am not asking if there is a drastic difference but does the face look shorter overall? I have a gummy smile and that can be corrected in other ways but I want to have the lefort 1 if my long face will look shorter. Thank you!

Your impression is correct. But the problem is due to the orthodontics tilting the lower teeth too far forward thereby reducing the 'overjet' and limiting the amount the lower jaw can move forward. Do not have the upper jaw advancement with your nose/lip angle or it will not look positive!....
