I’m concerned it won’t have a flat look, I asked my doctor and he said it was to soon to tell, that we could look at it in 6 months and he would decided if I needed a revision. From your experience is this something that might need a revision? I would hate to have to do a revision.

Answer: Dogears after breast reduction Hi and welcome to our forum! If you cut a pie shaped wedge out of a paper napkin and try to put the 2 cut edges together, you will note that the napkin will "tent" at the base of the wedge. Basically, a wedge of skin and soft tissue was removed from your breasts at the time of your breast reduction. Fortunately, unlike paper, skin is alive and elastic, and, as a result, the "tented" breast incision scar will have the tendency to flatten with time. Only time will tell if it will completely flatten. If still unfavorable at 6-12 months, revision is a minor procedure under local anesthesia. Best wishes...
