Can BBL results be effected sitting in the airplane for 3 hrs back home at 11 days post-op?

Thank you for your question. The best person to advice you is your specific surgeon as every surgeon will have his/her own preferences as to recovery for specific procedures.  With my patients no specific position is indicated and we do not have any sitting restrictions.  The pressure caused by sitting is not sufficient to affect viability of the fat cells and so the postsurgical position depends basically on comfort and any other operations that have been performed. It will be good if you stand up and walk a little during your flight to keep the blood flowing.

Thank you for your question. The best thing you can do is sit on pillows and get up frequently. Walk to the bathroom every now and then so the injected fat is not suffocating. Hello, good afternoon, thanks for your question.. Flying does not affect the bbl, but I recommend you to use a boopy pillow to sit, during the flight and for the next 8 weeks from the procedure also for sleep too. 

Thank you for your question.If you are other wise following instructions and limiting how much you are sitting, a 3 hour plane ride should not really determine your end result. My main concern would be flying so quickly after surgery, because you can be at an increased risk for blood clots. I would discuss this with your surgeon and make sure they are in agreement and feel it is safe for you to fly after surgery. Good luck.

I recommend my patients to start using the special BBL pillow two weeks after surgery. So, sit for short duration with the pillow (use for landing, taking off), walk around to increase circulation... consult your surgeon for post op instructions.

Consulting your plastic surgeon will always be the best option. Many patients who travel even longer distances after BBL did not affect their outcome. There are several precautionary measures you should take, more important, such as medication, compression stockings etc.

Sitting for 3 hours on your buttocks at such an early time post-op may be a problem.  A BBL pillow may help. You should ask your surgeon as well.
