Can I receive a gastric sleeve with a colostomy and I also have SLE Lupus?

Yes u can. I recently did a lap sleeve on a pt with SLE and urostomy. She is doing great. Make sure your surgeon will do it lap, otherwise get a second opinion

Yes you can still have the gastric sleeve evn if yiu have a colostomy.  The fact that you have a colostomy will not affect weight loss.  SLE is not a contraindication to having the gastric sleeve.  In fact, losing weight might improve some of the symptoms caused by SLE.   Consult with a bariatric surgeon in your area.  I believe you can benefit from having the gastric sleeve. 

Yes you can have a sleeve gastrectomy with a colostomy in place and Lupus. It is normally required to have clearance by your rheumatologist though. We've both cases and patients do really good. I hope this clears your doubt. warm regards, Dr. Alvarez
