Hard lump after cyst removal. Is this normal?

I had a cyst removed on my chin 1 month ago and now there is a hard lump there. Is this normal or has it grown back? It’s also hard to tell because the area is still red

There normally would be some expected firmness present 1 month after removal of a cyst from the chin.  This firmness develops from the normal healing after the surgery and usually resolves completely over time.  It would be best for you to see the surgeon who removed your cyst to determine if your healing is normal or not.

Hello and thank you for your question! I would recommend gently massaging the area of hardness and follow up with the surgeon who performed the procedure. It is normal for there to be firmness after a cyst removal but you should always speak with the doctor who seen you.As far as the redness goes that should continue to fade with time. You can always use topical 100% medical grade silicone scar therapy to improve the appearance of the scar. Good Luck!
