I'm 18 years old, about 5'5 and 120lbs. I went to see a plastic surgeon when I was 16 and he seemed very hesitant about doing anything to fix my outie, and also said he had never heard of an umbilicoplasty being done. He sent me for a CT scan to make sure it wasn't a hernia - which it wasn't. After that it didn't really go anywhere, as he seemed very unsure about how to go about operating. Is there anyone who thinks there's something that can be done to make my outie an innie?

Your current appearance is your final one unless you have the opening and tunnel excised. Then all you will have is a tiny scar but it will look a lot better.
Yes, you can definitely change the shape and contour of your umbilicus. I typically do it under local anesthesia in my office without leaving a visible scar. Call one of your local plastic surgeons and I'm sure you will be able to get some improvement.
We can fix that. Go to a local plastic surgeon that does a lot of tummy tucks and I'm sure he or she can handle this little problem. It's a fairly simple procedure, but each one is different. I wouldn't imagine any new scars should be visible when it's all done.Good Luck!
