Answer: 2 months post op, some advices: Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us.At this point (2 month post-po) the swelling is normal. To reduce it, I recommend you perform daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the abdomen and wear a postoperative girdle from thigh to the breasts.Kind regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Answer: Feeling Pain at 8 Weeks Post-Op Most patients will be placed in an abdominal binder, which they will wear the first week. There is usually a fair amount of swelling and the binder should be opened several times a day so that there are no pressure points. After the first 7 to 10 days the patient is placed in an elastic garment for compression over the next six weeks. Swelling can persist for several months and will gradually improve and will look better at three months, six months, and even one year. Frequently the pubic area and the scrotal and penis area for men can become very swollen and discolored during the first two weeks due to gravity as this is the lowest area for swelling to accumulate. Considering the fact that healing varies per patient, it would be best to take all of your questions and concerns directly to your surgeon for examination. This will evaluate the healing process and make sure that everything is going well.

Answer: Pain after tummy tuck Pain varies tremendously from patient to patient. Some patients feel totally comfortable within several weeks, while others have discomfort for several months or longer. As long as everything still looks the same, without any NEW swelling or other problems, you can likely just wait until you see your surgeon. If things get worse, ask to see your surgeon sooner. Good luck!

Answer: Pain 8 weeks after tummy tuck Thank you for the question. It is not unusual to have pain that long after tummy tuck. I recommend you dress your concerns with your plastic surgeon. Your surgeon can go over the details of the procedure that was performed and address the pain issue. Getting a second opinion can be helpful if you are too concerned.
