Did messing with sunglasses after Botox mess anything up?

Question

I got Botox done between directly between my brows and above them. About and hour after Botox I got new sunglasses in the mail. I tried them on and was messing around with them to get them to get them to fit better. I pressed down on the glasses and moved them around. The pressure spot was only on the sides of my nose and was about an inch from the injection site. I’m super worried, I will have a bad result. I’m assuming it was far enough away that it didn’t do anything but I’m super worried.

for your question and congratulations on your recent Botox treatment. There is
little to no chance that wearing your new sunglasses, or pressing on the area
between your brows, will 
negatively affect
your Botox results. As the botulinum toxin type A is injected directly into the
target muscles, there is little chance for spreading the Botox into the
adjacent tissues. If you have any further concerns, however, I recommend you
reach out to your Botox provider for their reassurance.

You shouldn’t worry about your Botox treatment. Botox actually settles into your muscles quite quickly, within a few minutes. Wearing sunglasses, and even pressing on them shouldn’t affect your results. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist for your Botox treatments to get the best results.

Even if your sunglasses rested near an injection site there is no worry of causing a problem. Theoretically pushing on a site could “spread” the Botox but in this area nothing can happen. Hope you enjoy your results.

Thank you for your question, it is a great one!  Botox is a intramuscular treatment so there is no chance that you displaced any of your Botox. However I would recommend not going to the gym for the first 24hrs after treatment.  Hope this helps, and best regards.
