I had an implant put in already by current dentist. The person that put in the implant---love him, but the one that put in the abutment and crown not so much want to find another dentist at a different office. The first implant is not comfortable--feel to tight not comfortable. Dentist says everything is fine--however, it does not feel comfortable--perhaps screwed too tightly.

Hi:Unfortunately with root canal infection the infection will not go away with antibiotic in the long term. The source of the infection has to be treated in order to make sure the infection goes away. If the tooth is not cracked, Apicoectomy might be your best option at this point.Best,Dr. Maddahi
The long and the short is that smoking will increase the chance of implant failure. This should have been explained to you prior to the procedure. You have invested a lot of money in yourself for dental implants, do everything in your power to help it have a successful healing process
Definitely with your oral surgeon first, but I would suggest either warm saltwater rinses, a solution of Chlorhexidine 0.12% rinse (aka Peridex) or a combination of. Your surgeon should have given you written post-op instructions, or he/she may have them on their website....
