Why would the effects of Botox seem to be wearing off after 2 days, when I have followed all the post procedures exactly?

You are early in your post procedure course. Usually the patient sees the start of the neuromodulators, (Botox Dysport, Xeomin), working at day 4.  The fillers usually see some result early, but some modulation continues.  In our office we have patients come back at 2 weeks for their check on their neuromodulator or filler.  At that point, most of the swelling is usually down, and we have an idea of the result.  This may be delayed if the patient has a bruise.  Often, asymmetry can be improved.  If you desire more volume, most practices would charge you, as they have to pay for the product, etc.  Please make sure your well trained, experienced injector knows your current status.Jeffrey J.  Typically Botox does not take e effect for 5-7 days.  You may have felt that your Botox was working after the injection (within the first 2 days) due to a small amount of swelling from the actual injection itself.  GIve it a little more time to take full effect (10 days to 14 days). Follow back up with your provider if more units are needed for the best correction.  Thank you for your question.

You likely had a small amount of swelling 1-2 days post injection and no effect of the Botox. It will take 3-7 days to see the full effect of your Botox.
